An Out of This World Experience

Humans have always looked at the stars and wondered what’s out there. A few brave men and women have seen it for themselves. Through this online Cosmosphere: International Science Education Center and Space Museum exhibit, visitors get the opportunity to learn about the early history of spaceflight, and its unlikely start in World War II concentration camps through the Apollo 13 mission in 1970, NASA’s Most successful failure. This exhibit hopes to educate visitors about the major milestones of early spaceflight. It will do this by showcasing ten objects, two from Germany, three from the Soviet Union, and five from the US, all currently located in Hutchinson, Kansas.
